Musto Team
The Musto family is large and varied and every much as treasured as the product we produce.
We take our relationships with our sponsored athletes very seriously and consider ourselves fortunate that they have chosen Musto to assist
them perform at their very best.
Below we’d like to introduce to you some of our team.

Jessica Watson
2011 Young Australian of the Year Jessica Watson wanted to leave nothing to chance when she set out to become the youngest sailor ever to sail single-handedly around the world. Which is why the Queensland teenager sought to join the exclusive club of elite athletes being sponsored by Musto. Having success-fully conquered that hurdle, Jessica is now onto a new challenge, acting as skipper for the youngest crew to ever compete in the Rolex Sydney Hobart Yacht Race. This challenge will see Jessica skipper a crew of 10, boasting an average age of just 19, with Musto there every step of the way.

Secret Mens Business 3.5
South Australian sailor Geoff Boettcher is the epitome of the old adage diligence is the mother of good fortune. Having entered the Sydney Hobart on 21 separate occasions – only 10 of which he considered himself a serious contender - it took Geoff until his 22nd attempt in 2010 to finally claim honours as the overall winner. The 60-something sailor has owned three boats named Secret Mens Business and the current Reichel-Pugh designed model – so named 3.5 after a hull modification in 2009 – has proven itself to be a serious force on the Australian sailing circuit. As SMB 3 the boat broke the record for the fastest boat under 50ft and fastest ever South Australian Yacht to reach Hobart in 2008. Considered one of the most travelled boats in Australia, SMB broke the race record for the Adelaide to Port Lincoln in 2009 and has been a much loved member of the Musto stable since 2006.

Loki
Sailing out of the home base at the Cruising Yacht Club of Australia, the crew of Loki are always considered a force to be reckoned with. Led by skipper Gordon Maguire with Darren Senogles the boat captain, Loki is considered one of the most competitive racing yachts in Australia. A regular participant in the Rolex Sydney Hobart, Audi Victoria Week, Audi Sydney Harbour Regatta and Audi Hamilton Island Race Week, the Reichel-Pugh 63 is on track to take out the Bluewater Points Score with a win in the Audi Sydney Offshore Newcastle Yacht Race, likely to cement the victory. Loki has been a member of the extended Musto family since its inception in 2007.

Megan Jones
Megan Jones is one of Australia’s top event riders, riding her way into the history books when she became a silver medalist at the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games.
Megan began riding at the tender age of five and spent her early years in pony club before making her international debut in 2003 at the World Cup final. In 2005 she won the Melbourne International 3-Day event riding Kirby Park Irish Jester, then later in the same year won the four star at the 2005 Adelaide Horse Trials on the same mount and a second in the two star competition on another.
Chosen to compete in the 2006 World Equestrian Games, she was on the bronze medal-winning Australian Event Team, and finished 16th individually. Megan owns Kirby Park Stud in the Adelaide Hills and has been a valued member of the Musto sponsorship team since 2008.

Katie McVean
Show jumping is in the blood of Hamilton, New Zealand-based horse rider Katie McVean. Her father Jeff represented Australia at three Olympic Games in the discipline of show jumping and during that time held a world ranking within the Top 10 for show jumping riders. Now it’s Katie’s turn. Having paired with her star horse Dunstan Delphi around two years ago, Katie and Dunstan have won every major title in New Zealand over the past two years, the highlight being the Olympic Cup Bell Tea Horse of the Year in 2010. In recent years Katie has won various accolades outside of the arena with NZ Show Jumping Personality of the Year (2002), NZ Olympic Committee Air NZ Scholarship recipient (2003), Waikato Junior Sportswomen of the Year (2004) and Carded Athlete – International (2004) among them. Katie joined the Musto fold in 2011.

Mitch White
The salty air has always been the driving force behind Mitch White’s many successes. Mitch started sailing when he was seven years old through Sydney’s Middle Harbour Yacht Club, he progressed to big boat sailing a decade later before securing his first fulltime sailing position aboard Nicorette - a custom 80 foot in 2001. In 2005 Mitch successfully gained a sort-after position as crew member ‘Brunel’ a Volvo 70 to be part of the 2005/06 Volvo Ocean Race in which he completed five legs. In total Mitch has completed 11 consecutive Sydney to Hobart Yacht Races and recently won the Farr 40 World Championships in Sydney. Currently Mitch’s main time is spent with the Farr 40 program ‘Transfusion’ - the current reigning 2011 World Champions. Mitch will also be competing in the Australian Summer and European 2011 seasons.
